Each year, the Newman Center commissions the graduating seniors with a blessing and a charge to go forward into their communities and become active, professional Catholics. Ever wonder where everyone went? You might be surprised to find others living in your same community! We'd like to help you get in touch and develop a local social and support group. Meet old friends and make new ones! Hawkeye Catholic Clubs will also serve as a catalyst to encourage financial support for activities at the Newman Center, and provide recognition for contributors as well as outstanding Newman Center alumni who have demonstrated Catholic principles in their every day life. What are the Hawkeye Catholic Clubs? Networks of Catholics who either attended or worked at the University of Iowa, the Newman Center in Iowa City, or just like hanging out with Hawkeyes! As we build up contacts within each region, we will identify activities based on regional interests. To start, the Hawkeye Catholic Club will serve as a networking tool to introduce Hawk friends to each other through mail and email. We would like to hear from you.
